The Randal G. Moore Fellowship Trust is a private philanthropic initiative affiliated with Moore Capital Holdings, LP and The Moore Family Trust Foundation.
Established in 2019, the Fellowship Trust was founded to advance medical excellence through sustained fellowship funding to leading universities and academic medical institutions in the greater Boston region. Its mission is focused on strengthening medical care, supporting clinical and translational research, and enhancing patient treatment outcomes through the development of exceptional physicians, investigators, and academic leaders.
The Trust is honored to be associated with Harvard Medical School, reflecting a shared commitment to innovation, clinical advancement, and the training of future leaders in medicine.
This Fellowship Trust is fully funded through the Moore family office, representing a long-term dedication to supporting the institutions and individuals whose work drives measurable progress in healthcare and medical science.
The Randal G. Moore Fellowship Trust has successfully participated in more than 329 fellowship grants, underscoring its continued commitment to meaningful and sustained impact.

When I joined The Moore Family Trust Foundation in 2023, one of the first questions I asked was to better understand the distinction between the Foundation’s Primary Trust, extensive in both scope and reach, and the Randal G. Moore Fellowship Trust.
It did not take long to recognize that the most defining difference lies in the nature of the recipients and the unique capabilities each trust was designed to support.
The Primary Trust supports broad institutional initiatives—programs and commitments that strengthen organizations through structured, collective investment. The Randal G. Moore Fellowship Trust, by contrast, is centered on the advancement of individuals. It is built upon the principle that exceptional people, evaluated solely on merit, often serve as the catalyst for the most meaningful breakthroughs. Each fellow is recognized for the impact they contribute independently, and then further elevated by the opportunity to align their brilliance with the broader initiatives supported by The Moore Family Trust Foundation.
In many respects, the Fellowship Trust serves as the vehicle that brings an additional level of transformation to an already strong and well-established infrastructure.
It enables a critical layer of support that might otherwise remain unfulfilled. There is no need to search for a departmental budget opening to create a fellowship position—the funding is already in place, and the intent is clearly defined. This structure ensures that opportunities are not delayed by institutional limitations, but instead can be acted upon with purpose, clarity, and efficiency.
Working closely with our Chairman, Randal “Ran” Moore, has allowed me to witness firsthand his enthusiasm for this endeavor and his deep commitment to advancing talent through the Fellowship Trust. The level of personal engagement and conviction he brings to this work is both distinctive and inspiring.
My first six months in development, identifying beneficiaries, became an education in the true scope of possibility—how a strong concept can be expanded to its fullest potential, and how real, measurable impact is achieved when vision is paired with decisive action.
I am proud of what has been accomplished and grateful for the opportunity to have played even a small role in work that carries such meaningful significance.
My respect for Mr. Moore is beyond measure. The opportunity to work with him directly has been not only a professional experience, but also an education and a privilege that I sincerely value.
The work and achievements realized through The Moore Family Trust Foundation have allowed me to become part of something greater than myself—an organization defined by purpose, leadership, and lasting impact.
